Explore Meditation

What may you experience during a meditation session?

Stillness

A sense of inner calmness that presides your entire being. Thoughts tend to seize when you are one with your inner body.

Positive sensations in hands/feet

Notice these sensations without desiring they last forever. Be with them, knowing you will need to let them go.

Am I Doing This Right?

Beginners often wonder if they’re meditating correctly…there is no “right” or “wrong” way of meditating. As long as you are being an observer of your thoughts/emotions/breath/sensations, you’re meditating!

Hidden Emotions Arising

Often times, when we sit with ourselves, we receive way more answers than we were expecting. Emotions that were once suppressed, may rise to the surface- it’s okay, and normal for you to release these

Pain Increasing, Often Leading to Decreasing

If dealing with pain of any kind, when you are observing it, it may become even more intense…don’t worry, sending messages of safety and breath to these areas will decrease pain symptoms

Decreased Anxiety

You may notice your body being tense and breath shallow before meditating, only to notice your heartbeat slowing, your breathing flowing instead of forcing, and allowing your thoughts to move through you, instead of ruminating

  • “Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.”

    Thich Nhat Hanh

  • "When you practice gratitude, you are participating in something sacred. Truly admiring every presence that ever was or is in my life today."

    Tara Brach

  • "Certainty is a dead space, in which there's no more room to grow. Wavering is painful. I'm glad to be traveling between the two."

    Katherine May

  • "The journey is deeper and inwards."

    Martha Beck
