It’s about the journey…

When starting something new or picking up something from the past again, be sure to ask yourself two questions behind your reasoning for wanting to do something: Am I doing this just to say that I’m accomplishing something, or is my intention to enjoy the experience of achieving it?

Two questions, very different in their answers, and very important in understanding your why.

The behavior of many is usually to always be “in the end” with their achievement and trying to get there as quickly as possible. It’s fine to want to achieve, but I think so much is lost in the process. So much learning, inspiration, bits of joy, moments of fear, is not seen, not felt, when rushing through the process.

I’d argue that the process is where the gold is found, it’s where you learn the most, and where actually achieving “it” will be all that more fulfilling.
